On 23 November 2022, Cransley Reservoir Wildlife Reserve Community Interest Company (CIC) completed the purchase of the Reservoir (which includes the foreshore, wood, dam, carpark and track to the sailing club).

The CIC is formed from a consortium of 4 parties comprising the sailing club, RSK (an environmental consultancy) and 2 neighbouring landowners, who all have the same passion for ensuring that the reservoir is maintained, preserved and managed as a haven for peace and tranquillity for wildlife in harmony with the sailing club’s activities.

This relationship has worked well for over 50 years and it is the CIC’s aim that it will for many more future generations to come.
